Winter Park and environs are among the most prestigious addresses in Central Florida. Known for its quiet neighborhoods, spacious lots and brick streets. Winter Park boasts a downtown designed around a picturesque Central Park, which hosts two popular art festivals, one in the spring, the other in the fall. First built during the late 19th Century, Winter Park is home to a thriving arts community, two golf courses, museums, unique shops and restaurants and Rollins College, a small liberal arts school. A number of lakes dot Winter Park and there is a public boat launch near the Rollins campus. Single-family homes start in the mid-$400,000s and go well into the millions, depending on the location.
Winter Park revolves around its quaint downtown, which is one of the most walkable places in Central Florida. In addition to a plethora of restaurants and shops, the big attraction is Central Park, which covers 11 acres and is dotted with a rose garden, fountains, and a bandstand. Families young and old congregate at Central Park for picnics and any number of civic events. The west side of the park has a train station that serves Amtrak and SunRail, the commuter train that links DeBary to the north with Winter Park, downtown Orlando, and Osceola County to the south.
Take a ride on the Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour, which cruises along three of the seven Winter Park chain of lakes. Check out the affluent homes, as well as flora and fauna. Follow that up with a happy hour drink on Park Ave.
